Features

Everything Tenna does.

A player for the playlists you already have, made to open fast, stay steady and look good. Tenna provides no channels or content of its own.

Library

Your playlists, kept close.

Add as many playlists as you like and switch between them. Everything is saved on your computer, so Tenna opens straight into your library.

  • Xtream Codes and M3U. Enter a login, or paste a playlist link. A login you copied from a message can be filled in for you.
  • Saved library. The whole library is stored on the device and shown at once on the next launch, then refreshed quietly in the background on the schedule you choose.
  • Profiles. Each person gets their own favourites, favourite categories and watch history. A Kids profile hides adult categories and asks for a PIN to leave it.
  • Manage content. Hide, reorder and merge the categories of each playlist, so you only see what you watch.
  • Search everything. One search across live TV (including what is on right now), movies and series.
Live TV

Live TV that stays on.

Quick to browse, easy to get around, and built to keep a live stream going when the connection hiccups.

  • Channel lists as a grid or a list, with sorting, favourite channels and categories, quality badges and Now/Next on every channel.
  • TV guide. Now and Next in the player, a full guide, and Manage EPG to shift a provider's times when its guide runs early or late.
  • Reconnects by itself. A frozen or stopped stream is nudged, then restarted with waits between tries. Offline? Tenna waits for the network and carries on. You only see an error, with a Retry button, when it really cannot recover.
  • Channel hopping. Previous and next channel with a key on a computer, or a swipe on a phone or tablet.
Multi-view

Watch it all at once.

For match day, news and anything where one screen is not enough.

  • 2 to 4 channels at once. One has the sound, with a gold border; tap another to move the sound to it, or expand a view to fill the screen.
  • Controls on every view. Tap a view for previous channel, pause and next channel. Next and previous move through the same category and skip channels already on screen.
  • Each view looks after itself. A view whose stream drops shows "Reconnecting…" and recovers on its own.
  • Cross-playlist view. One channel from each of 2 to 4 playlists, side by side. Every playlist is its own account with its own connection, so providers that allow only one stream at a time still work.
Movies and series

Pick up where you left off.

Details, resume and the small things that make a series pleasant to binge.

  • Details pages with artwork, runtime, genres, ratings and a synopsis, and Continue watching right on Home.
  • Series. Seasons and episodes, auto-play next episode, and Skip intro that learns where an intro ends from the times you skip it yourself.
  • Good controls. A seek bar that also shows how much is buffered, playback speed, a skip button you can set, and a buffer setting for slow connections.
Audio and subtitles

Sound and subtitles, sorted.

Films often carry several languages and special sound formats. Tenna handles them for you.

  • Dolby Digital and DTS films play with sound. The desktop apps convert audio that a computer's browser engine cannot decode, on the fly, while the picture is passed through untouched.
  • Pick the language. The audio languages and the subtitle tracks stored in a film are listed for you to choose from, and subtitles are shown over the picture.
Home and sports

A home screen that's useful.

What is new, what is on and what you were watching.

  • Home. A banner of trending titles, Continue watching, and rows of new movies, new series and live entertainment, which you can switch off.
  • Live sports. Scores and fixtures by league, with a Matches strip and a row for each league. Tap a match to open the best channel for it. Scores come from ESPN's public scoreboard.
  • Match alerts before kick-off for the teams you follow (phone and tablet apps).
On the desktop

Feels at home on a computer.

A dark title bar, a window that remembers where you left it, and shortcuts for everything.
